Dancehall is a Jamaican street dance and music genre that was born in the late ’70s, early ’80s, but has become known in Europe much later, through music videos by artists such as Sean Paul. The movement in dancehall is laid back but at the same time carefully accented and controlled. Its specialty is the fast renewal, new dances springing up constantly, and a good dancer must know the history and foundation as well as the new steps. Dancehall still lives and evolves mainly on the streets of Kingston – so Bubblin’ Moves teachers train regularly with the best dancers in Jamaica and in Finland.
Bubblin’ Moves works in co-operation with Dance Jamaica and DanceJa Skool for the improvement of the quality of dancehall teaching in Finland.
